I have a Kel Tec P3AT with about a couple hundred rounds in it.

I would like to know if how many rounds you have in your P3AT???

Has anyone had any failures or breakage due to high round count????

I have been thinking of sitching over to the Kahr PM9, but it doesn't hide as well as the P3AT.

Anyone have both???? Whis do you perfer??????????????

I probably have about 300+ through mine. I don't really take it to the range much. Primarily, I'll go shoot a box through it every couple months just to stay practiced.

Only jam I had was when I was first breaking it in and I limp wristed one of the first few rounds I shot. After that (i.e. after I made sure I was holding it well), never a jam, never a FTF, never a problem.

I was looking at the Kahr about a month ago and I liked it. It has good reviews and I liked the construction. My only real issue was the grip being a tad too small for me.

I ended up getting the Walther PPS instead of the Kahr PM9, Kel-Tec PF9, or one of the smaller CZ 9mm pistols.

Thing about all those is that they really aren't pocket guns. Hence the reason I still have my P3AT with its amazingly good pocket holster for the times I can't carry my PPS or when I simply want some quick throw-it-in-the-pocket 7-11 protection.

Judging from the votes I had for the PM9 when I was asking people here which pistol they liked (http://thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=476638), I'd say you won't be disappointed in the Kahr.

If you are able to keep the P3AT and get a Kahr PM9, I'd go that route rather than sell the P3AT.

If you haven't looked into it yet, I seriously recommend the Walther PPS. http://thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=482179

I've had one for less than a month and I put about 150 rounds through it. I haven't experienced a single jam yet, although I was expecting at least a few during the "break-in" period.

I love my P3AT, shooting it is a pleasant experience.

I had one (once) and it had around 6500 rounds down range and then it literaly fell apart

My brother and I bought p3-ATs at the same time some years ago.

He claims to have shot over a thousand rounds through it. I didn't think he could afford that much ammo in the old days or count that high, but hey, who am I to question him?

I have shot almost a hundred through mine. I empty a magazine of hardball every couple of months to make sure that it still works. Having a low tolerance to pain, I don't shoot it an more than necessary.

In my opinion, Kel-Tec makes a good product that I rely on, but I don't think any of them are range plinkers. I have often wondered what the real service life is? It ain't a glock for sure.

The Kahr P380 will hide just as well as the Kel-tec. It's twice the money
but a pleasure to shoot. I have about 1300 rounds through mine and it is just broken in good.

I've got over 1000rds through mine, I've had it for several years and never had a bit of trouble. To be honest, I'm not worried about it, Kel-tec has excellent customer service and a lifetime warranty that they stand behind. If you wear it out or it breaks down, they'll take care of you.
