For those of you out there running a 1/9 16" chrome lined RRA upper, what ammo/bullet weight are you getting the best results with? So far I have only been shooting cheap 55 grainers with fair results. So before I go out and spend mad $$$ on a variety of different brands and bullet weights, I was hoping some of you guys out there could give me a heads up on trying to get that 1 moa or better guarantee that RRA boasts. And I know that all rifles are different animals, just want to get a head start narrowing down brands and bullet weights.
Thanks

Jeff,

I dunno about RRA rifles in particular, from experience (though I am interested and considering one), but my understanding is that the sweet spot for a 1/9 twist is likely to be 69 to the low 70's. Maybe the Hornady 75 gr at the heavier end.

If you don't handload, Black Hills (available from Midwayusa.com and elsewhere) have a very solid rep.

I shoot primarily 55gr ammo from ALL of my rifles. 68gr Black Hills OTM is my favorite for target and for self defense...

What do you want to use the rifle for? Hunting, self defense, target, plinking??

find some 50 or 52 grain bullet loads,
I think you should achieve 1 moa in your rifle with these.

my bushy really likes the winchester 55gr whitebox and will usually do a little more than than 1moa. also, the radway green is good in my gun too. 73 grain berger HPBT shot really good and got about 2 moa at 600. for some reason though my gun doesnt really like smk's of any kind.
