That particular barrel has a very poor reputation. They are said to change point of impact pretty drastically as they heat up and cool down, from firing or even just from being exposed to sunlight. If you do a search over at Rimfire Central, you'll see one tale of woe after another.
A true carbon fiber barrel from a company like Volquartsen has a light stainless steel barrel that is tensioned or stretched if you will, between caps at the ends of a carbon fiber sleeve. It makes for a very rigid and stable barrel. On the other hand, the Butler Creek carbon fiber barrel is simply a lightweight barrel with a plastic containing carbon fiber injection molded around it. There is no tension on the barrel, the plastic is in direct contact with the metal, it's just not a good design.
That barrel is no longer made. Some people have reported that they were able to get Butler Creek to exchange them for a regular steel barrel. There is nothing at all wrong with the standard Butler Creek bull barrels.
