expect an increase in recoil with the same ammo in that LCR. It IS a bit smaller than the SP101, but that looks like a very comfy grip.

the Hogue Tamer grips are very nice, the SP101 has HARD rubber vs the LCR being softer subber. The 38sp i didnt notice a difference but Tomorrow, Ill be using the 38sp +p and 357, and HOT HOT 357's,

well i was almost @ the range but work called and I felt bad and had to go into work till a Hour after the range closed but That kinda payed for the range time... =) plus getting a few new boxes to get now.

Range report on the way.

edit= Also the grip is alot longer from front to back and the back side of the factory LCR is very soft and I think that will help a lot.
well about to find out.

Well after about 150 rounds I had to head out because of work and home things to do., (clean gun b4 work)

The Ruger worked just like a Ruger. ANYTHING I put in it was BAM! BAM!....

I found some 38 Shrorts in my garage and some very old 38s I had to use a wire brush to removed some rust or gunk on the caseing.. *all were my dads new box ammo* from his military days...

then I got into my ammos.... 38 sp.. federal and walmart cheap Talon (the black box) the 38+p was good like the SP101...

Then I got into the 357 ammo... *Blush*

I was really thinking it was going to kick like my cusins SW- 44mag Snub...
But It really didnt... I think it is really amazing how this LCR is 17oz ~~
and has that much recoil CONTROL!!!!

I put in the LCR TRITON AMMO.. this is the 357 mag +P ammo..
If this was to be a +P it should. and the SP101 kinda kicks back to me but the LCR had a little hop on the way back but after 2 or 3 rounds it is like Ok not bad @ all..

o and by the way I love the finish on the LCR because the sun does not shine off it. Great for a front pocket of shorts and if your a out doors man its light and Powerfull.

What a great buy for $438.00
The store was Tac aim in Springhill FL. I only put the name because some stores are going crazy @ around $560-600 and I have only paid the most for a new Ruger SP101 @ $450.00 So anyone paying more than that, beware.
