Ruger Ninety-Six 44 mag followed me home today

I spotted this one a couple weeks ago and couldn't get it out of my mind. Went back today and saw it was still there. Being I was unsupervised by an adult, I bought it .

The rifle just feels so right for me, shoulders like a dream, is lightweight, balances perfect, and the sight picture locks in like a laser with no effort. The lever action is like butter, the trigger is amazing for factory. I don't think it's ever been fired. Can't wait to shoot it.

Anyone here know much about these?

Depending on its bbl length, i think it would make a fun supressor host...subsonic 44s are shockingly quiet, and still quite powerful

look up a video of a integrally suppressed 77/44

also, i seem to recall a guy on youtube who had made reliable 9 or 10 round mags for it

Congratulations on picking up a great little rifle. I own one of these, and it's one of my favorite rifles for deer hunting. Mine has factory Ruger rings, and a Busnell 3x9x40 scope mounted on it, and in this configuration, it is super fast handlng and easy to get off a fast shot. Since I've been using mine, it's taken five deer, all with one shot kills, and none of them moved farther than 3 feet after being shot. I use UMC 180 grain Jacketed Soft Points in mine.

That is one sweet nice handling 44 magnum rifle. Always had a soft spot for 44 magnum rifles. Yeah, that one would have followed me home too.

I love mine. It's an ideal deer rifle for the thick woods in my area, and it's light enough I can still carry it! I've tried several loads for it, and I've finally settled on a 240-grain JHP over 21 grains of 2400 powder. Seems to be just about right for the rifle, and the deer don't go far after being hit, either!

Very nice, my wife seldom lets me go anywhere that sells firearms without her supervision. I have a habit of finding something that I "need", even though she doesn't beleive it. I am looking for something like that to integrally suppress.
