Thanks for all the good thoughts everyone. Since posting my find, I realize the info I was given by the clerk at the dealer may have been off. Even though the little guy isn't a 2002 model leftover from a special run, he sure is handsome and handles great. I really don't think I was intentionally given wrong info (this dealer sells thousands of guns yearly) and i should have wondered since the billboard is under the barrel and not so offensive to my eyes. And yes, a gambler's holster is planned, once I get my leather skills up to speed. Thanks again, Don

Saw one in SS in a gun shop today for $425. Just about took out the checkbook, but it was a newer model than the one my son-in-law has and a little too smooth pulling back the hammer. I like his old clunker. Gee,I wonder if he'd trade.......naw.

I have never been into single action wheelguns, but I can honestly say that I have lust in my heart for that one. Very nice.

I have one of the Baby Vaquero's in .32 H&R Magnum,..pretty gun,..and a fun shooter,..but if there were another run of these in a Birds Head, short barrel,..I'd be all over one like white on rice.

A little more info please. When I checked I found two models of birds head single sixes, one with a black stock that was only made in 32 mag. And the other with ivory stock which was a distributor exclusive for Talo (not Lipsey's). I was under the impression that they both dated circa 2002 - 2003 (or at least the 32 mag did). Are you saying that this was a recent production model? If so I'm boggled as I have never seen one in at least the last couple years... I'm quite sure it was limited edition Talo, possibly later than 2003.

Cool .22 !! I have yet to shoot mine either..

It's a brand new model!

Great little Single Six and one I've actually wanted to build or have built in recent years. Though it's not technically a "pinched" frame.

I got one too. Went to the range today, all I can say is "wow!"

It is now one of my favorite pistols.
