Remington 357 mag 158 SJHP (R357M2), 1130 fps from 2.25" sp101. This is one of the most formidable rounds available; with practice it is easily controlable in sp.

I'm pretty sure you'll find the Short Barrel loads from Speer to be 135gr, for both .357 & +P. I've carried both, recently switching to the .357.

Didn't vote in the poll because you had 125gr listed, which isn't the SB variety...

This also is what I use in my 3" SP101 for "social situations". However, with the exception of the Corbon "Powerball", which I have no experience with, and the 357 Winchester 110 JHP, which is too "flashy" for my tastes, I would feel comfortable carrying any of the other loads on your list. Contrary to some opinions expressed here, I have fired THOUSANDS of 125gr magnums in my SP101 (mainly the Remington 125gr "lites") and ALWAYS found them to be very accurate in the little Ruger. Obviously......"mileage varies" for some.

Another magnum round I have found that shoots accurately out of my SP101 is the 145gr Winchester Silvertip. I have no experience with the magnum "short barrel" Speer 135gr load, but I am interested in trying it in my Ruger.

Since I've had it, my SP101 hasn't fired any factory ammo. It seems to fire EVERYthing I feed it, including hot 180 grain .357s to .38 wadcutter, to the same POA. Unusual and I can't explain it, but it's true and appreciated. It defies logic and physics and I've yet to figure out what's going on, but it's true.
