Its the concealed hammer version. My question is when you pull the trigger very slow and smooth, there is a click that locks the wheel into place. As soon as this happens, you can hold the trigger position and just give a very small "pull" and then the pin will hit. Is this ok to do? I never noticed that this would happen until today when I was dry firing it working on smooth pulls. With a live round in doing this, you could get a much better sight picture right before the hammer drops, and have less movement. Just wondering if anyone else does this, and if its ok to do. Not a big revolver guy, but like this one because its small, light, and easy to conceal. Thanks.

jhunter- if you want the best D.A. accuracy, it's a great technique. If you want to be prepared for SHTF, it's bad. For combat/defense, a single, smooth trigger pull to ignition is the only way. Since you "fight like you practice", and the 642 isn't exactly a target gun, I'd stick with the single pull.

Cool, thanks. I kind of like this gun as a range gun, its for my wife as a carry however. I take it from time to time to the indoor range. Really takes the stress away for me. I also love shooting the 460 S&W?? A buddy has one and I like the compression you feel in your face. Most hate it, I love it.. I was just wondering if this was some sort of design in this type of revolver.
