My wife and I were at a gun shop the other day. She wanted to handle a few handguns. She went in knowing she wanted a 9mm pistol with a safety, preferably something either all or mostly steel, to help mitigate recoil, while also being on the small-ish side of "duty" so she could CC it if she later decides she wants to.
She started by looking at the SR9E and SR9C. I did my best to keep my mouth shut and let it be a process she went through by herself so that I wouldn't influence her decision. She was shown a used S&W, model that I don't recall the name of. From there, she was shown a used (great condition) S&W 915 she about fell in love with. At first I was a bit iffy about whether or not it would be a good choice, but after reading reviews that were almost completely favorable, it seems like a really solid choice.
It evidently takes the same mags as the 5906, and they're still being made by both S&W and Mec-Gar, so that's great.
What about holsters? Anyone know if a holster made for the 5906 would fit this 3rd gen Smith? Looking for something like the Crossbreed Supertuck, ideally. None of the major makers I checked offer a holster specifically for this gun.
