Lately, I have been looking to pick up examples of classic/trend setting firearms. Near the top of the list was a S&W Model 10.

I generally prefer older Smiths, but came across this one for a reasonable price. It has a bit of holster wear, but I don't believe it was shot very much. Cylinder is tight, trigger is very smooth, much like some of the older vintage ones. The -11 was the last revision before the crappy integral lock was added. Took it to the range and it shoots like a good K-frame should.

I generally prefer the non-MIM guns, but if you just want a shooter in classic style, it should serve you well. You can't beat a heavy barreled 4 inch k-frame.

My 10-11 came courtesy of the Victoria, Australia Police.
Had many small scratches all over it that cleaned up better than expected with Wonder Blue.
Sold it to a neighbor who was being transferred a place behind enemy lines where S&Ws with hammer nose firing pins are banned.

Looks good. Is it a Corrections turn in? If you don't mind, what did you need to pay for it?

I don't know the history on it, I got it at the Cabela's Gun Library. Guns there are generally way over priced, but I picked up the Smith for $330. Not a screaming deal, but I thought it was fair for what they generally go for around here.

Very nice weapon. Love those K frames. I would like to find one in that condition.

I've opined before that the K frame is almost perfect for 36 calibre. It's an excellent balance of weight and size. None better from S&W
