S&W Model 10 police trade in at Buds again

I opted for insurance which raised it to $288 and paid a transfer of $20. So rounded up to $310.

They both came with the rubber grips pictured. I would have preferred wood as well but would be replacing them either way.

I have a beat to crap pair of old magna grips that look pretty tired. I'd be glad to trade you for your new grips.

I actually already have a pair of those tired old grips, too. :) Think I'll keep the new ones on the gun. I had a pair like them on another surplus m10 I got a couple of years ago. I don't mind the modern grips, since they're somewhat traditional and official S&W.

I eventually found a pair of good condition (though refinished) magnas for my first m10 (with the tired grips) for $15. Hoping that will happen again :)

I got mine yesterday. They look just like the others posted in this thread as far as wear goes, the 4" having more wear on the bluing and some slight surface rust and the 3" not so much. After a good cleaning and lube the guns look refreshed and ready for another life of service, with some new stocks they'll look even better. All have a solid lock-up.

My beer and cigar money has flown out the window for a while. Ordered a round butt the other day and went back last night for a square butt. I can't say I've seen even the rattiest Model 10 in my neck of the woods for under $400, so $279 is hard to pass on.

Our "safe gun roster" if the model is not currently manufactured and the testing fees paid off every three years it goes from the roster. It is a great way to extort money from manufacturers and limit guns to those who can afford the highest prices.

Just picked mine up today. I need to re-do the grips bit overall it's in great condition.

From the Victoria Police Armoury.

Got my 3 inch Model 10 in. It's weirdly scratched up - the blueing isn't in horrible shape in terms of holster wear, but it looks like someone attacked it with an icepick!

Grips aren't S&W, they're some terrible wannabes. I figured I'd have to put something on there anyway, as I don't much care for magnas, but I was hoping for original grips anyway.

Action is nice and smooth, lock up is excellent. It should work really well.

Got an email that my "order status has changed to shipping. Your order is now in the shipping department." Ohboyohboyohboy!

Got mine today, 10-11 HB RB...Better condition than the first batch for me. Most of what you see in the picture is glare and not bluing wear. Interesting the limited wear and that it is a -11 with a serial number that dates it to January 2000. Figured most of these would be much older than this one. The bore appears to have been shot very little.

I picked up a 4in round butt as well. Mine isn't in as good of shape as the one shown above sadly. However it is completely functional so that's good.

Ok, school me. Please. I thought all these would be dating
Back to the 60's or early 70's But Hkguns is recent
Production. ??? Thank you !

Just got my Model 10-11 in from LGS a couple of days ago. Looks to be closer to 80-90% condition and had a set of Uncle Mikes grips. LGS said that he thought the 10-11 came out in 1997-98. With about $310.00 in the gun I am well pleased with the condition and Buds as well.

-11 changes were made in 1997 the serial number dates it to when it was produced in the that configuration.

I finally ordered one of the square butt versions. About $313 to me after LGS gets its cut.

Hoping it has proper magna grips so I don't have to spend extra to locate a pair.

Dangit. I want another one.

I have a 13-3 (3", RB) and a 1930 M&P (4"). And two kids in HS with extracurriculars, who want to hunt elk and deer this fall. (Just built a 6.8 AR upper for 13 yo brat to use on his deer hunt)

I need to buy flooring and put up a new fence and paint my house and replace some fascia and .... I cannot buy another gun.

Dangit. I want another one of these.

Just picked mine up last night. Finish has a lot of holster wear, but the rest of it is solid and it has the original wood grips (yay!). I'm happy! Model 10-8. I was surprised how big/thick the barrel is, almost like a bull barrel. Guess I've never seen one of these before, I thought they had a skinny barrel.

Looks just like the one in post #57, even came in the same plastic case, which I thought was a very nice touch.
