greetings, i'm about to sell a S&W m 13 in mint condition/round butt/3" barrel with rosewood eagle secret service grips(insane, but please don't ask why) what would be a fair price? thanks for any input.
Gordon, how dare you get that guys hopes up. Everyone knows that the S&W 13 is "jinxed" by its model number, and you would be lucky to get $20 for one. Oh heck, I will help him out, and will send him $50 as well as offer to pay shipping costs.
The M13 in the 3" round butt configuration is the most desirable version, and highly sought after as one of the best carry wheelguns all around.
Average to ratty examples routinely fetch north of $300 here. A minty one with Eagle grips should get you north of $400...but you shouldn't sell such a fine sixgun in any case. There are very few revolvers of any brand or kind that are better suited for concealed carry.
I payed $299 + S&H + FFL fee last week for a 3" Model 65 (stainless steel version) police(?) trade-in from CDNN. Bead blasted, in plastic S&W box with rubber "boot" grips, trigger lock, and multi bit disk screwdriver. A Model 13 in nice condition should go for considerably more. Before I found the 65, I was looking for a 13.
