Same buffer spring assembly work with fixed tele and A2 stocks?

If I get an AR with a fixed telestock and don't like it, can I just by the A2 stock without getting a new buffer spring, etc.?

I believe that the fixed telestock would use a carbine buffer/spring, so no.

If your local laws require a fixed stock, do yourself a big favor and get an A1, A2, or ACE ARFX stock to start with. Cheek weld and general utility is better in most cases with the fixed stock. The telestock only really makes sense if you're switching between body armor and no body armor. I can legally use a telestock where I am but I have moved back to preferring fixed stocks.

Carbine spring/buffer are not compatible with a rifle length buffer tube. Check out the Sully stock if you want a fixed stock with short length of pull.
