I'm a new registrant to the site, but I have read all your knowledgeable posts for a while now. Here's my question: does anyone know how I might obtain the take down tool for the Sauer Model 200 (or Model 202; as I understand it, they use the same tool.) I have called Sigarms and, although they were very courteous, they admitted that the tools come from Germany and they have had a bit of a problem getting inventory.

Also, if anyone has an owner's manual for the rifles referred to above, or knows where one may be located in electronic form, please respond also.

I just recently purchased a Sauer Model 200 rifle in .30-06. It appears to be an excellent firearm in all respects, and the fit and finish are quite nice. The only thing that bothers me is that there is this universe of interchangeable barrels, but I can only tap into this buffet if I have the tool required to perform the take down.

All input is greatly appreciated.

I have a 202 and got it in similar form to your 200...no manual, no takedown tool. It took several calls to sigarms to get a tool and manual from them. The tool is really nothing more than a REALLY long allen wrench. I was hoping it would have been some ultra complex piece of engineering that only someone of German descent could appreciate and an engineering degree could understand and needs its own manual, but hey simple works too. I can scan my manual and send you a copy PM me your email address and I'll get it to you

. . . and pay the $1,000 for the barrel.
