Savage Model 1904 .22

A friend of mine just gave me one of these. It is in very good condition. It has a rear peep sight,shoots s,l, and, lr
Serial # is 35,8XX
On something this old, are there any existing records on dates of manufacture? ( I think it was made from '04 thru the 20's)
The butt plate is engraved with an advertisement for Savage high powered rifles.
Its shoots very well, I might add.

Maybe others can help, but I know of no record of Savage/Stevens/Springfield manufacturing dates. Note that that gun should not be dry fired, and also avoid high speed ammo.

My one source shows dates of 1904-1917. There is some collector interest if the gun is in top condition, otherwise they generally go for around $100. Still, a nice gift.
