I've never owned a Bushnell scope other than a Banner that came with a gun I bought. Can anyone give me some insight on the Bushnell line? Are there some that are good scopes at a decent price or are they all just another cheap scope?
I'm looking at changing scopes on my Savage model 12 and I've looked at Leupold and Nikon, but didn't know what I was getting into with the Bushnells.

Bushnell makes some great scopes. The Elite 3200 and Elite 4200 are really good scopes for the money. The 3200 series start around $200 and go up from there. They are the equal to scopes costing $100 more. The 4200 series are more costly but offer better optics and adjustments.

I had a Buhsnell Elite 4200 on a Winchester M70 (sold the rifle and scope to get a Springfield 1911), and I currently have a Weatherby Vanguard and a Bushnell Elite 3200.

They're both great scopes; they track well, are rugged/dependable, and their proprietary Rain Guard lens coating really works! The Elite 32oo isn't as bright as the Elite 4200, but it's just as clear and is only a smidgeon above $200. The 4200 runs about $100-$150 more.

If you've got the dough, get the 4200, if you're fine with a bit less light gathering, then grab the 3200.
