I've asked this over at Parralax with only one reply.

I would like to know what my options are for scoping a Czech Vz-24.

I'd consider both LER and regular optics. The only thing I don't want to do is permanently alter the rifle.

I don't know what a B-square mount looks like, although I'm told they have one (no pic on site).

I also know about Iron Elite (can you say OUCH!!?)

Are there any other options?

Will a mount that works on a 98K work on the VZ?

Thanks.

You could just have a gunsmith drill and tap the receiver for conventional scope mounts. I assume it would use the same bases as the Mauser 98. Then you could put any kind of optics you want on it, from red-dot sights to sniper scopes.

Frankly, I wouldn't worry about drilling and tapping a VZ-24. They are quite common and not collector's items. I have never found the long eye relief scopes to be satisfactory and don't use them.

The VZ-24 is a standard Mauser 98 action and will take any of the scope bases designed for that rifle.
