There is a imprint{from the seating plug} on the top of the bullet where the seat plug is pushing the bullet in the brass. The new brass was resized and expanded using the RCBS M die.
I had the same problem with the Lee 158 RNFP bullet. I contacted RCBS (maker of my dies) and asked if they had a seater plug with a flat face to avoid getting a "ring" imprint on the bullet. They told me they didn't make a seater with a flat face. I thought of having one of my extras machined flat. Then it dawned on me to use my 44 mag seater die with the SWC seating plug, worked like a charm. I seat with the 44 mag die, then crimp with the 357 roll crimp die with the seating stem removed.
