Sellier and Bellot ammunition?

read the ballistics on their homepage

Their .38 Special isn't rated +P, but it's ballistics are right in the +P range.

I made the mistake of buying some as range ammo for my alloy snubs.

It took two shots to realize how hot it was.

So, I sold all of it for low pressure wadcutters to murder paper.

specifically the "law enforcement training" stuff they marketed. Had a horrible time with it. FTF about 1 out of 7.

The Law Enforcement Training part is your issue. All of those rounds - be they handgun, rifle, or shotgun, are loaded with VERY light charges. Usually not enough to cycle the action in a semi-auto.

If you get any ammo marked law enforcement, make sure you're using it in something with a manual action.

I've been a through a couple boxes of .380 92gr FMJ. Went bang every time and functioned well in a Browning BDA. I was plinking and didn't wring it out for accuracy. It was MO coke can.

Put a boatload through mine and my brothers SKS' and never had any issues, plus it was less expensive than just about anything else. Seemed to be a lot cleaner than any of the spam-can loadings.

I believe some of the big US ammo companies either do, or used to repackage S&B for some european calibers, quality wise, some of the best ammo I shoot, much better than russian, don't know how PPU S&B and NORMA compare, then there is Dynamite / Noble, good shooting stuff altogather.

I've shot tons of it in my .357, I'd trust my life with it ...... best cheap ammo out there IMO. In a pinch I wouldn't hesitate to use it as carry ammo.

S&B is the best 7.62X25 ammo for the CZ-52 pistol. It is much better than the eastbloc military surplus, but a lot more expensive.

I sometimes use it for self defense in my .32's, .380's, and .45acp.

Good stuff for FMJ, seems a little hot.

I've had nothing but good experiences with it. .223 and 9mm. S&B is the only stuff I buy anymore for 9mm FMJ.

I trust it enough to be what I put in my 380 & Mak defense gun(s) .
It is a little sooty though.

S&B is good stuff. I believe that the Winchester Metric is S&b in a winnie box.
