In a newspaper article in the Rocky Mountain News, Pete Coors has come out swinging against gun control. He announced not only his opposition to the semi-auto ban, he also stated support for a repeal of the Lautenberg amendment, and repeals of large sections of the 1968 Gun Control Act.

But wait, there is more! Coors also said he supports repealing the 1934 NFA as well! Now I realize that words are a lot cheaper than action; but given the few Senators I hear saying words like these to the press, I have to say I feel pretty comfotable with Pete Coors as a Senator.

My wife voted for him in the primary mainly because his oppenent's adds were so overwhelmingly negative. Looks like he may have been a pretty decent choice.

Unfortunately I'm still a Vermont resident, so I get to throw my votes away there :)

What do you think are his chances of getting elected?

Survey USA has a real solid track record in the primaries this year and they aren't shy about publishing their past record so you can see how effective they are.

For all practical purposes, the race is currently a tie and turn-out among supporters will decide who wins.

Ron Paul and Pete Coors in 2008!

Maybe we can get rid of that blasted lautenberg amendment from the 1986 FOPA and the 1989 import ban.

Bump

I would not want to see Pete Coors on a presidential ticket in 2008 over the second amendment alone. There would have to be possitive actions on many issues from social to defense and every domestic question raised for the senate. If he turns out to be a good answer man in the senate. That may be where he belongs.

This is unprecedented!

This is the Pete Coors from Coors Brewing, right? I think I will indulge in a 12 pack next time I am at the store to show my support...
