I know David and he's the sort of guy that we need in politics, but he's not interested in dealing with the sort of scum you find in politics. Criminals are about all he can stomach.

He made headlines three years ago January, when after budget cuts to his deptartment furloughed a portion of his force. He told the citizens of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, during a radio broadcast, "You have a responsibility to protect yourself and your family..."

A short time later, Tim Schmidt, the founder of the USCCA (United States Concealed Carry Association) and publisher of Concealed Carry magazine, and Clarke became friends. Clarke has come to national prominence in the meantime. He's a good man and a great Sherriff.
 
Sheriff Clarke has become a fixture on Fox News Channel, particularly, The Kelly File at 9PM ET. It's rare for a week to go by without the Sheriff appearing on that network.

He is a joy to watch. Extremely articulate and well grounded on the facts, he destroys anti gunners and liberals in general with every appearance.
 
cool. i don't really watch the news as I don't get TV, so I guess I've missed his appearances
 
He is absolutely dead on. It is no laughing matter. They may try and fail 1000 times to take away this freedom but once they get the votes it will gone forever.
The gun grabbers are backed by big money and power hungry loons who's goal is complete control.
 
I live in the county directly north of Milwaukee County.

We love Clarke here. He's a no-BS guy that respects our rights.

Unfortunately, the County Executive and Mayor of Milwaukee are liberal twits and Clarke has to fight them on everything.
 
He's a great sheriff, a cops cop, pro 2nd amendment and very articulate.

Good to see he has so many supporters, especially the ones who have chimed in from Wisconsin.
I contribute to his The People's Sheriff website, although I'm in PA.
The Pro-2A community really needs to get behind the good sheriffs in the USA.
His appearances on FOX NEWS always seem heartfelt & genuine. :)

Clarke runs as a Democrat because the electorate in Milwaukee County votes overwhelmingly for Democrats. Obama/Biden won 67% of the vote there in 2008 and 2012.

If you want to know what Clarke actually thinks of the Democratic Party here's what he said on the Hannity show after the Democrats' recent presidential debate:

It was a pathetic display. It was plantation politics in its finest hour, the continued enslavement of black people emotionally by the Democrat party with this destructive liberal ideology.

They’re whoring for votes. The liberal ideology has been very destructive for the black community for the last 50 or 60 years. Poverty is now generational--it’s a lifestyle. Unemployment is obscene. They have to send their kids to failing public schools. Drug and alcohol addiction. Neighborhoods that are crumbling. All under Democrat control.

Tinpig: I bet you also think fighting a war without hurting anyone is a good idea too. Do you want the ideals of the Republic to win or are you just another east coast "can't we all just get along" person? In a fight for your very existence you must use all means available to win.

Sometimes in order to clean the gutter you have to get in the gutter. I agree principles are fine but sometimes they need to take a back seat to the ultimate goal of keeping our freedom. As Sean Connery said in the "Untouchables", "when they pull a knife you pull a gun, when they send one of yours to the hospital you send one of theirs to the morgue". I don't encourage violence at all but what I am saying is that sometimes you have to use the "enemy's" tactics against them, beat them at their own game. You have to show them you are the baddest thing out there. Vlad Tepis showed the Muslim hoard that was invading Europe that Romania was not a place they wanted to be by showing them that he was worse than anything they had ever come across.

As for Sheriff Clark, I would like to eventually see him nominated for the position of U.S. Attorney General. He speaks the truth which is what the antis don't want to hear.
 
I am an hour north of MKE , have followed the career of David Clark & met him on one occasion. He is VERY outspoken on the topic of citizens arming and protecting themselves - He regularly produces PSA's in which he states that calling 911 isn't enough ; each citizen must take responsibility for his or her own safety. It is great fun watching and hearing the lefties go apoplectic when Clark issues such statements. Mayor Tom Barrett and Chief Ed Flynn despise him. (Both lefties...)

David Clark is a fearless crusader for 2nd Amendment rights. Amongst all Milwaukee area civic leaders he is the most realistic about the dangers of the current social environment , and about the limitations of the police forces to protect all individuals all the time. That is the reason he encourages all citizens to consider training and arming themselves.

Sheriff Clark , closing a PSA :

"We are in this together. Can I count on you?"
