Well, I was at my mother's for Mother's Day and she lives 4 hours from me. I put my handgun on top of a bookshelf just in case my little sister was being nosey (she knows about guns, but better safe than sorry). Well, I left it there (I had just bought it and still carried my 642, so I was armed and didn't think about my other piece until 2 hours into the trip. I read in the "Shipping thread", but didn't see anything about her shipping the gun to me. Please let me know if it's legal for her to ship directly to me. Thanks everyone.

Does she live in Texas as well?
If yes, she can ship it via UPS Next Day Air Saver. FedEx will not deliver to a nonlicensee, USPS allows only dealers and manufacturers to mail or receive by mail any firearm other than a rifle or shotgun.

If she lives in another state she can only ship to an FFL in Texas, via UPS or FedEx.

Thank you for the info. She's north of Tyler, but not quite in OK yet, so it should be good to go. Hope she'll do it...
