Hi all. Haven't posted in a while but I have a question for you.

When carrying inside the waistband, how many of you will have a white tee shirt tucked into your pants, then have the holster with the gun between your jeans and the white tucked in shirt on your body. And then put on another t shirt or button down over it to conceal it?

I've tried this multiple times. And every single time, the white tucked undershirt comes untucked around the holster and everywhere else. I've even bought XXL white tees but it doesn't matter. They constantly come untucked.

Super annoying. I cant imagine everyone just deals with this mess on a daily basis?

I'm on a diet and losing weight, but, as a heavier person, I carry with a t shirt and an overshirt, but I have to wear suspenders to make it work. I also find that the suspenders could add a little stability to the holster, depending on placement. Mostly, however, they keep my pants up from the extra gravity of the gun and helped my T shirt stay tucked in.

Also, suspenders are extremely cool and will enhance your social standing among all categories and classes of people.

I have no problems with my pants falling down or stability whatsoever. I use a Beltman horsehide belt with a stealthgear USA Ventcore iwb holster. Everything is tight and comfortable, except the undershirt coming untucked

I have all sorts of holsters and carry tech, however I usually use a cheap Blackhawk inside the waist clip holster. I don't wear any undershirts, hell I hardly wear a shirt outside of work. The holster gets the job done without interfering with clothes or whatever (I don't get hung up clearing my shirt with my support hand on the draw) and a draw from front appendix carry is usually very quick and practical way to carry, for myself. When I'm feeling lazy sometimes I just put it that same gun and holster in my pocket. Will not be able to draw quickly but sometimes I think if I'm going to die by gunshot, I might as well be comfortable

Just because of my build, I buy XLT (extra large tall) shirts. You could try that. XXL really aren't any longer, and make me look kinda slovenly. (I don't wear them as an undershirt, though)

I adapted by making sure my holsters have enough material to eliminate any skin to steel contact.

I live where it gets anywhere from -10 to + 85 and muggy in summer.

I have worn for over 40 years and I settled on a underarmor type 't' shirt for summer [ outer shirt of LIGHT material and untucked.

I am not thin, and not tall,so shirts stay tucked in ------ 99% of the time.

I also wear a cotton "wife beater" [ sorry but that is what they are called ] if the weather is not super muggy.

It has taken me many years to find what works for me,good luck

fyi = Duluth makes LONG 'T' shirts and I do mean LONG

Ya I've noticed that the XXL t shirts just make everything look baggy and crappy.

Where does one find the XLT shirts?

Same here. I think my Blackhawks are relatively slippery so they tend not to grab onto undershirt material and hitch it up when I go into a seated position. The nice suede or leather holsters might be more apt to do that. I want to be clear...I do have to tuck my t-shirt back in a few times every day, but that isn't a function of carrying IWB, that's just what would happen anyway even if I wasn't carrying. Suspenders keep my t shirt flat against my body which also keeps it from creeping up too much.

But I also have to keep a small inventory of Blackhawks because they aren't made to last as long as the more expensive stuff. When they start to fray, I toss them out because getting snagged would be bad.

Wearing a regular XL makes me feel like I shouldn't reach for anything, lest I give

Online. Or locally, I find Carharts at Murdochs.

If a tall size shirt doesn't help it could be the holster. When I carry IWB it is most often with a Crossbreed Supertuck in horsehide and I never have a problem.

My hi neck tee shirts, fit snug and do not pull out, which means my Gen 4 Glock 19 rests not against the skin.

A Florida shirt cover pistol. Patterned Florida shirts, I have lots of them. Wear the gun at 3-30, on the strong side, real comfortable hides well. I wear good wide suspenders, supports the Pistol G17 mag, and flashlight.

I have worn 511 pants sine 1985 when I bought my first pair, at the FBI Academy. Not many people wore them then, now every other Guy has some style of them. Here, and in Europe. I just like the pockets, don't wear Jeans.

I'm in central Texas and work outside in 100+ temperatures several months of the year. I almost always wear a light weight, snug fitting T shirt as an undershirt year 'round. It absorbs sweat and serves the dual purpose of protecting my skin from the gun and keeping my button up outer shirt from becoming sodden and sweat stained.

Ideally, it should be as snug as you can comfortably wear, and extend 4-6 inches (or more) below the belt line. If the shirt tail is shorter, try tucking it inside your underwear to hold it in place.

If I'm dressed in shorts and a baggy T shirt, the gun is carried AIWB without an under shirt. But that is a LOT less comfortable.

For what you describe - being an IWB with a T shirt between you and the holster, which will not stay put:

Grab a piece of wax paper and either a hot glue gun or a tube of clear silicone caulk. If the caulk or hot glue will not stick to the holster, then the flat round end of a dremel stone will make very nice "engine turned" spots for the product to grab. Squeeze a few dots or even a couple lines of glue/caulk onto the back of the holster, then squish it flat against the holster body with the wax paper. Let dry/cool, and peel off the wax paper. Bingo, added grip to the backside of your holster which will keep your shirt tucked in for you.

Your shirt is coming untucked because the holster is a pressure point, but not gripping the shirt. It effectively ratchets the shirt out more and more as you move during the day. Add those grippy spots on the back and it won't happen ever again.

I make my own holsters and solve this problem simply: Lay the gun down on the leather and trace a line ALL AROUND the gun. That will form the back of the holster, and when you put the holster on, there will always be leather between gun and skin. No interior T-shirt needed.

i do this, i normally wear a large shirt outer but i use a xl or xxl undershirt. only place mine comes untucked at times is at the back, the front and both sides are good. i really like having an undershirt as the grip rubs some and the shirt helps.

When I read the op, Duluth Trading Co. popped up in my head right away. They have a spefic line called "Longtail". Really a quality clothing company.

No, it’s way too hot here to where two shirts, The gun is just gonna get sweaty.
Sweat, IME, cuts thru even a nickel plate finish. Which is OK, I guess, if you like a rusty gun.
Had you considered OWB, with a looser top shirt?

Safety pins! To your underwear.

Just kidding.

ShooterMike, you are a tough dude. I am out in 100 temps here and we have very low humidity usually. There is no way I could wear two layers on days like that.
