So I finally got around to shooting this barrel assembly yesterday and I am very pleased. I had bought an old Mk I Ruger as a box of parts a while back and picked this barrel assembly up at a gun show for it. The orginal gun was 0% finish remaining and the barrel was really messed up with lots of pitting. It looked like someone had taken a hammer and chisel to it to get the original finish off.
I only shot at 10 yards to see how it would do and I am very pleased, at least as accurate as any ogf the standard Rugers I have shot. It's long, but the barrel shroud is a very light weight aluminum so although it holds very steady it never feels too heavy. I tried severel different brands in it and everything functioned perfectly. We are going to the indoor range in a couple of weeks so I'll try to get some targets to post from it.
