AKElroy,

I don't quite read it that way. Staying just with what you have quoted (I can't comment on more as I am not familiar with Evolve);

What I take out of this is driving a car, consuming alcohol, and gun ownership are rights that also bring attendant responsibilities: not to abuse to the extent that others are injured. I don't have a problem with that. I'll go beyond that and state that rights bring responsibility, Daddy always told me so and it is a good ethic even today.

Can you give me some further reason why you think this concept doesn't apply to gun ownership, or is this a "slippery slope" argument where anything other than rights with no reference to responsibility is treason?

They appeared on Piers Morgan, where they were warmly received as a "breath of fresh a air"'against the extreme positions on both sides of the argument. He stated, without argument from the Bonds, that the middle ground should be explored as the best way to get more "common sense" regulation.

They stated plainly that progress cannot be made without both sides finding common ground.

How do you suppose they define progress and common ground? Sounds like a familiar anti message to me. There is no middle ground with these people, only slick PR to promote an anti-agenda.

These folks are every bit as pro-gun as Wendy Davis.

I know the grip angle is a bit different and a little thicker front to back, but I suspect most standard 1911 leather will work for it. Maybe someone with first hand knowledge will chime in.

I can't say I want or need it. But I would definitely like to shoot one. Then it might make the want list.

coonan1911, I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a holster until I tried one first to see if I liked it. So I bought a horizontal shoulder holster size HA-16 from Ready Holster, $39.99. It was very inexpensiveness and worked very will.

For belt carry, I used an old 1911 leather holster that works very well.

Well I own one and I love it. It's my winter carry gun and it's fun to shoot and it takes anything and everything I've run through it without any hiccups. The folks that work there take pride in the gun and offer advice whenever asked. I even asked about reloads and they said they have tried just about everything and it's all worked.

Seems like an interesting design, how does it prevent rim-lock and what's the accuracy like? The old 1911s chambered in 38 Super were known to have accuracy problems due to head spacing off the rim, which this pistol probably does as well.

The gun itself does not prevent rim lock but the person loading the magazine does. I have a newer Classic with the 6" barrel and it is(as some have said) a hoot to shoot. My friend has a S + W 45 and when he shot it he said it feels very much the same as his. There are some differences between the 2 but that would make sense since they are 2 different guns. As for reloads I use 9 to 9.5 grains of HS6 with a 158 grn JHP. I also use the mag primers and have had very good results with it.
