One more thing I like about the .45 is the satisfying low pitch "BOOM" it produces, compaired to the "KAAABBBAAAAMMOMGWTFWASTHAT!!!?" of the 10.

Well....the closest Bass Pro Shot didn't have the Stoeger Cougar .45 I wanted in stock, so I called a local shop and they've ordered me one for the same $449 price Bass Pro had them for. It should be in around Friday or next Monday. I called the wife on the phone and told her and she said "Bass Pro didn't have the Nighthawk you wanted?". :) I said "no, but I ordered one up". Her reply was "the Nighthawk?". I said "no, the Stoeger". Her reply was "get what you want bud". Gotta love this woman!!! Anyway, the Stoeger's on the way, range report to follow when it gets here, and the door is open for the Nighthawk. I checked my receipt from when I rented the Nighthawk at the range and it was a Nighthawk GRP. The wheels are turning........

I have the Stoeger Cougar in .40. It felt perfect in my hand and shot straight. You will definitely be happy with the Cougar in .45. Good luck!!

My old man's Bersa 380, and the CZ mak both are both masochistic pleasures for me, on the very bottom end of the comfort scale.

My hands are a bit too large and meaty, and unless I'm crushing the gun in my grip (ruining my aim) I get a good welt in the webbing from the kick.

My .40 M&P fullsize has close to the same feel, but the Size, and grip keep it from becoming painful to me.

Standard .45's, ACP or Colt both are just pleasurable, if not gentle shooters for me.

My Kimber Custom II has the typical "pushy" recoil of a standard 1911, but what really surprised me was shooting .45 ACP in my Ruger Blackhawk .45 Convertible with 7.5" barrel, compared to the 1911, shooting WWB through both, the BH's recoil feels like a .22, almost nonexistent recoil, and that nice single-action revolver "rolling" recoil works great with .45 ACP

Any time my Kimber goes to the range with me, the Blackhawk also tags along
