Whatever is cheapest at Walmart. I don't care whether it is Rem, Win or Fed, they are all good and I can't tell the differance between them. Its just a shotgun, I don't expect anything special out of the ammo. You point, you shoot. No big whoop.

I shoot Remington High Velocity All Purpose 8's and Federal Multi-Purpose 7.5's. I like the Federal better but I can only get it at Wally World and I try to avoid that place as much as possible.

Home Load.

I use 18.0 grains of Clays in a Remington STS hull, with the Remington figure 8 wad and 1 1/8 oz of either #7.5 or #8.5.

This basically reproduces the Reminton STS Light Target Load.

It works great in my Browning 425 and is enough to cycle my wife's Benelli Montefeltro (which used to be MINE until she started shooting it way better than her 20ga M1).

For a hunting load, I switch to Winchester AA hulls, Windjammer wads, Longshot powder (don't remember how much off the top of my head), and 1 1/8 oz of #6 shot. It pushes a little over 1400fps.

* Disclaimer. Due to the potential for typos, always verify any loads against published reloading manuals. In case you missed it... CHECK PUBLISHED RELOADING DATA!!!!

AA (old style) hull, Win 209 primer, Claybuster clone of the WAA12SL wad, 17.3 gr of Clays, an oz of hard, trap grade shot. 7 1/2 shot for winter and dove, 8 1/2 for trap the rest of the year.

I shoot Winchester AA Super Sport Sporting Clays.
12ga. - 2 3/4 - 1oz. - 7 1/2 shot - 1350FPS.:D

yea I use those Fed Multi purpose 7 1/2 shot I like that stuff plus you can buy it at wally world by the case (12 boxes) for cheap (cant remember exactly how much) that stuff has worked wonders for me.

I handload most of my ammo, but I favor remington gun club ammo, as it runs less tha $3 in my area, and utilises a decent hull that can be reused many times. I use them for payloads ranging from 1oz trap loads to 1-1/2oz turkey loads. AA's are fine hulls, but at more than 2x the price I'll stick with Remington's and my reloads.

ArMa,
All my shooting is predicated upon tactical employment of weaponry and force. 3.0" Federal 1.25 oz. Classic rifled deer slugs, #4, #1, and 000 Buck. For maximum expansion, Remington's Copper Solid Sabots... These rounds are cabable of very good performance, and are utterly reliable. If I ever go duck or goose hunting again, I'll use the appropriate loads of Remington's Hevi-Shot...

Regards and Respects,
Carter, oldpaladin, out...
