Those 2x4 basics kits make super sturdy reloading benches. I used that kit and my top is doubled 3/4 birch hard ply, it is like a rock.

I think you may be in for a small surprise.View attachment 274967
Doesn’t get much simpler than this. Lee Anniversary Starter kit and a cleaned off bench in the barn (sort of). Been loading for two weeks now and can’t imagine that I’d need anything else. Naw…
LOL. Especially if one hangs out here, with all of the enablers. I never knew I needed so many shiny reloading gadgets until I started hanging out here.I think you may be in for a small surprise.
My new reloading room, just need things to hang in the walls

I have a 5 year old and a 8 year old that like my press, i worry what could happen if they decided to play with it unsupervisedWhy do you lock your press?
The bench (actually 3 put together) is about 30 feet long. Technically the nearest section of bench as seen in the picture is a separate work bench. The middle section has a bunch of reloading supplies stored on it, but it occasionally gets put to use for gun cleaning. I'll get some better pics of the business end of the bench when I have a few minutes. That looks good but that's not a bench it's the deck of an aircraft carrier!!
