Show us a picture of your reloading bench

My project is moving along. The room is finished, the bench has yet to be built, so I'm still using my table for the presses at the moment. Given the intended use I decided not to go to the trouble of mudding and painting the dry wall. Hopefully it won't be long before the bench is built. Its going against the wall under the peg board and large shelf.

Here is where I am now:

Thanks! Its something I've wanted to do for a long time, and it finally became possible. I'm really looking forward to getting rid of the table (which has been my loading "bench" for 15 years) and having a real bench. The room is still in progress, I'm hoping it will be less messy when it gets finished.

My garage is detached, so I have to walk through the yard to get there. That is both good and bad, as it also means the kid and wife also have to walk through the yard to get to me. :)

I turned about a third of the garage into my cave. It still has space for a small car, of junk (which is what it has now).

New to reloading. Built the bench and the selves

Get to building that bench! The longer you wait, the harder you're gonna kick yourself for not doing it sooner.

This is what I have to work with right now. Hopefully a bigger bench soon so I can mount my single stage on it as well.

Moved into a new place this fall. I just got the wiring done in the storage building so I'd have light and power:

This is my main bench. I reload 22-Hornet, 223 Rem, 6mm Rem, 270 Win, 30-30 Win, 9mm Luger, 12ga, 20ga, 28ga and 410. My shotgun reloaders are set up on a portable work bench in the house so I can watch a netflix while I reload.

This is my other bench. I built this a couple of years ago. Right now it's just being used for cleaning rifles and doing little misc gun projects.

Rancho,

Love the room, Mate. Love the posters, Nice touch. I had my Maiden years, Mate and was in the audience when Live after Death was filmed in Long Beach (LGB). Yes, I was there. When Somewhere in time came out, I was working part time at a radio station called KNAC 105.5 and was able to secure 1st row (Yes, Front row) for that tour. Vinnie Vincent's Invasion opened up for them. I saw them 2 times that tour, Once in Long Beach (LGB) and once in Irvine.

Cheers Mate.

I need an Iron Maiden poster or two for my man cave, I had several in high school. I was a little young for the "Live After Death" tour (though I had, and probably still have the Long Beach Arena video somewhere). I did see them in Charlotte, NC in the early 90's during the tour for "No Prayer for the Dying".

I forgot to show the way i have my tumble setup. I made up an extension cord 14/2 with ground. Wired the extension cord in a box with a receptacle that stays hot as long as the extension cord is pluged into a wall outlet. Then i ran a hot circuit from the receptacle box to a light switch box on the end of the work bench. Ran another hot circuit to a two gang box with a receptacle and a switch, which allows me to trun the receptacle on and off. this is where i have my tumbler pluged into. The reason for the extension cord is in case we move. And the shelves where built then bolted to the table. It is all very stable.

hc1- I like that set up. I did something similar... sorta. I bought a digital timer that I plug my tumbler into so I can set it to run for 4 hours and whatever is desired. Auto On/Off.

Rancho Relaxo, those are some serious offsets you have put into that 1/2" emt. Y so long? Sorry, had to pick that apart as that is what I do for work...commercial electrician. In all actualality, your electrical work looks great...nice to see someone actually using some conduit around their work bench instead of just slinging some romex around with some chinsy plugstrips. And az-coyote, I like the built in receptacles and switch boxes with the metal raised covers and trimmed out nice with some wood. All in all, these benches are really some nice peices of work, no store bought pre-made crap. Keep 'em coming.

Oh yeah... Wilburt, where do you get those red storage containers with the plastic sheild in front of them?

Rancho that is a sweet man cave! Makes me want to find my Aces High poster (still got it) from my high school days and stick it up over my bench.
