Concur w/rellascout. Without nightsights, on a clean 228, that's a good price.

With decent nightsights (some life left in 'em), I'd be tempted up to 550 or even a tad higher on a W. German 228 with unworn frame rails and an unblemished finish with little holster wear.

Sounds about right.
If it has the original box, papers, and spare mag, you can add about $75 to that.

I paid $450 for my P228 a little less then a year ago. It has some holster wear, but internally was like brand new. Sadly it has a lot more holster wear now and a whole lot more rounds through it. I'm probably going to be sending it off to be refinished eventually, thinking maybe going two-tone.

In my opinion the P228 is one of the best shooting, most balanced 9mm's around. It has been boringly reliable... just seems to always want to function.
