I just bought a SIG SP2022 in 9mm and was wondering if any one here
knows what the service life is? I have read on other forums of one that's
a rental that has gone 60k rounds and is still going strong, that the French in testing fired 2 million rounds through a few, etc. On the other hand, I have read a few posts on TFL from a Police Officer in Holland that
stated thet were only designed for light use by regular street officers that
don't shoot more than 100 rounds a year. He said they were made for 12000
rounds and no more. He also stated the metal framed Sigs are much more durable(I don't see how aluminum is tougher than polymer).
The reason I ask is I might sell my SP to buy a Glock, as I plan on doing quite a bit of shooting in the near future. Does anyone have a high round count example in .40 or 9mm?
Thanks
