Does anyone carry there sigma as a ccw? expriences? mishaps? Is it safe to carry the sigma with one in the chamber? The gun has no manual safety or anything. Wait. What is the actual safety on this gun? lol Does it work the same with the glock trigger mechanism? I really dont want to get shot while just carrying it. haha One more thing i got mine with a 10 round mag. I was wondering can i fit a 16 round mag in to this one or is the one i have specifically modeled to hold only 10? Well thanx again.

I would think the heavy trigger pull would be safety enough. No better or worse off than carrying a DA revolver.

Give me a freak'in break!!!
The trigger pull on the Sigma is second only to the Walther PPK in heaviness!!! Besides, the first rule ALWAYS applies: Keep yer booger hook off of the bang button!!!

Yeah, the first Sigmas had a remarkably Glock-like trigger!! Smith also got sued for patent infringment by Gaston!! I have an original SW40F that is almost a Glock!! I think the ergonomics are better, though!!

Buy all the 16 round mags you want, provided you live in a state that allows them, they'll fit!!

With very few exceptions (e.g., an object snagging on the trigger) it can only fire with your finger fully wrapped around the trigger and applying some 10 lbs. of force over some 3/8 of an inch of travel - in other words, a deliberate effort on your part. It is NOT going to discharge simply sitting in your holster.

With mine I've occasionally wondered (usually after it's been sitting a while and I've forgotten the pull distance) if the durn thing's going to go off when I want it to. I've considered carrying it simply because the thing's not likely to go off, even with a holster malfunction, due to the amount of pull.

Try this one day in your house. Unload your Sigma, and double-check for safety. Holster your Sigma as if you were going to carry it.

Now, walk around the house. Bump into desks and counters. Make sure to let your gun hit household objects as you walk by them. Do this for as long as you want.

Now, check to see if your Sigma's trigger has been pulled. Has it?

If the answer is no, then it is fairly safe to assume the chance of a negligent discharge is very statistically unlikely.

Yes it is safe to carry with one in the chamber.
It is double action, so the striker isn't sitting in "cocked" postition, and it has a striker block, so gun could be dropped and still not fire.
Just make sure your holster choice covers the trigger group. I purchased an Accumold by Bianchi for mine, and it is a good one.
Best-MC
