Single actions and speed strips?

I once saw a man reload a single action from a thin tube. After ejecting the empties in the normal way, he pointed the gun down, tipped the tube down over the cylinder and turned the cylinder so the rounds in the tube fell into the chambers. I thought it was a lot of work for not much gain.

I've known a number of gun smart folks that use a 1911 auto[ or any other.45 ACP.] magazine to reload single action guns. Thad Rybka, a premier custom holster maker, was the first to show me the technique. Thad is a "harking back to the old days", some folks would say he's a little "eccentric" but, check out his thoughtfulness on holster design, and the quality of his work, and do not challenge him to a gun fight he will make you look silly with a Single Action Ruger. PM me if you want a contact address to Thad. Nick
