I picked up a NIB SKB 505 DX, in 20 ga yesterday at an auction for $700. It appears pretty old, but in brand new shape. It is missing the choke wrench, and extra choke tubes, but all the papers are there...I think. I really have no use for it, I just thought it was a good deal. What do y'all think of SKB's? Did I really get a hell of a deal?

Great gun- I have one just like it and my oldest thinks it is "his"........
While out of business at the moment, parts and accessories are still readily available from GU in Omaha. Most of the major choke makers will have chokes for that model as well. Great i clays or birds, SKB is a well-made gun

The trigger guard is stamped "HUNTING"...why is that? And the box appears really old...anyone have any idea how old it is the serial number is NS860XX...thanks

SKB made great guns. I have shot thousands of rounds through mine. Good buy for $700.00. I am looking for one in 28 gauge right now.
