Slide-Glide

In my experience, it stays where you put it. I did a class earlier this summer in which (among other things) we shot about 1100 rounds in a single day. I did not clean or relube, and still had a nice film of slide glide my Glock's barrel hood and locking block when I packed it up that evening.

My shooting buddy was using another (properly applied) product, and his hood/block were bone dry at the end of the day. YMMV, of course.

Stuff is fantastic. You can reasonably expect a single application to last 2000 rounds.

Be careful using it in the cold, though.

Thanks for the testimonies..

I've always felt oil goes all gone after a few hundred rounds (especially in my M1A rails) and I use lithium grease, but it is everywhere but where you need it when the day is done..

I also use it, and think it's great. Pretty much stays where you put it untill you clean it off.

MoNsTeR is right, though. It does get thicker in the cold. But if you know ahead of time that you'll be shooting in the cold, you can use one of the thinner varieties that Brian sells, or thin it with some oil.

Or a marital aid...... :neener:
I have been using militec and have been quite pleased....may try it out when I run out tho......thanks for the heads up....mack

I love the stuff. My 1911 used in USPSA L10 runs on that stuff forever. I only clean it when I can't stand the sight of it all dirty and nasty. It comes in multiple grades so you can use the medium most of the time, the light during winter and the heavy on loose guns that you run hot. Or you can just buy the one grade and thin it out with a bit of CLP when you feel the need. I now use it in most of my guns. It slicked up my Mossberg 500 like you wouldn't believe, it runs my CZ and even my AR. The only things I don't use it for are old Mausers and my Savage FP-10 which needs almost no lube anyway.

A small tub will last you forever and not only is it a great lubricant, it also suspends crud that would build up normaly, and it even seems to soften up the recoild a bit, as crazy as that sounds.

My "tight" guns or guns going into dusty/dirty conditions get FP-10. My "loose" guns or range only guns get Shooters Choice sythetic grease where applicable and FP-10 elsewhere. A little goes a long way. Still have my origional overpriced syringe of the stuff otherwise I would have tried other products by now.
