Tried the search function but had no luck.
Has anyone tried Smart Reloader products? I was wondering about the quality. We're looking at replacing a lot of stolen equipment, and insurance gave us about half what we had in it, so we're looking for bargains if the equipment is good. The Smart Reloader products are substantially less expensive than the competition.
I found a electronic scale that comes with a trickler, 2 powder scoops, and check weights for $35.70 at Midsouth.
I also found a hand priming tool for $15.75, also at Midsouth.
Any advice from someone who's used this brand equipment would be appreciated. Thanks.

Typical Chinese rip-off stuff.
But I haven't tried any of it, so should probably just shut up.

I did note some of the early broken English add copy was barely making sense though.

I also hate to see the copies. I would rather buy American.

Most Chinese tools are fairly junky.

Not really inspiring of confidence.

I bought the single stage open-front C-press as an extra utility tool. You know, primer pocket swaging and such. It isn't so bad to look at. Kinda pretty, black cast iron body and polished plated linkage.

The 7/8"-14 threads are rough. No lie, I can't get a die all the way down. I don't want to use the die as a tap, I need to find a 7/8-14 tap to chase the threads first.

There's a slightly rough spot near the top of the ram stroke. I assume the ram itself is slightly out-of-true near the bottom. I'm not sure how that affects function, I'll let you know when I get the threads cleaned up and get a tool installed.

And I can't snap a shellholder in the ram yet. Well, I can probably tap it in with a mallet, but I want to get my shellholder back some day. I'll have to figure out what the problem is, after I get the threads cleaned up.

Can't really make a comment as I've yet to see any first hand. Refuse to comment about them being made in china as the computor I'm typing on is made in china. As is alot of products we all rush to buy.

their loading block and ammo boxes have appeal. yay for a real hinge, and why on earth are everybody else's loading blocks so expensive?

"I also hate to see the copies. I would rather buy American. Most Chinese tools are fairly junky."

You mean tools like the current Rock Chuckers? (I don't know what else but suspect at least the highly touted Charge Master digital dumpsters are too.??)

I have the digital scale and it works good. It was a gift and figured I would give it a try. I've been happy with it.

I had the digital scale for about a year before it died. Worked pretty well for a few thousand readings, but wouldn't buy another.

i have their powder scale/dispenser the iSD or something like that... I love that thing!!!

#1 thing READ THE DIRECTIONS!!!!!!!

I couldn't figure out why I wasn't getting accurate dispenses but then saw where I could change a couple setting and BAM!!! instance accuracy!! This thing is awesome and reloads my 25-06 very nice... which reminds me I need to go shoot sometime

I have their "SBP" press. So far I have to say its works very well. I have had none of the problems Ants had with his and it worked great right out of the box. No extra tapping or machining required. I am new to reloading, and this seems to get the job done.
One spot im keeping an eye on is the stops on the press. They are aluminum and I have a feeling that they might wear down over time, changing the COL. I might have to beef those stops up in the future.

I use RCBS dies with it and have been 'accurizing' surplus 7.62x54r for use in my psl. When I use a collet puller, I did notice that the wooden ball on the handle smacks into the top part of the press chewing it up. I wrapped a bungee cord around it to act like a bumper and now its perfect!

I have heard mixed reviews about their scale. I also hear the scale is someone elses that's just rebranded. I would say that you really cant get a good digital scale in that price range. Precision digital scales are just expensive to make, dont mess around with this and save up to get something nicer. I recently got a Jennings JS-VG 20 off of amazon for $80. This replaced the cheap MTM scale i had before it which broke in 4 days and was never accurate. This Jennings is so much better it makes the MTM look like a toy.

Thanks all. We're gonna stay away from the cheap stuff I think and just bite the bullet so to speak.
My dad always told me, "You can do it right, or you can do it twice." I guess that could apply to buying the right equipment as well.

I like their ammo boxes. Not taking the price into account, I like them more then the MTMs, J&Js, and Frankford Arsenals.

I've been running one of their case cleaners for about a year now. Might be a little noisier than the Midway one it replaced, but works just fine. It gets lots of use!

You are right, not the spot for this type of rant. Sorry

^ How does that help me determine whether or not Smart Reloader products are any good or not. I probably wouldn't know whether or not you did post anything useful though. You posted an 82 word run on sentence with too many spelling errors, punctuation errors, and capitalization mistakes to count. And before you say that this isn't a grammar class, it wasn't a thread about why we're screwing ourselves by not buying American products either. I drive a Toyota Camry as well. Is there a problem with that too?

That's pretty funny. I can't believe I actually counted the words in the first place, I was just kind of agitated. I really can't believe you counted them twice. Surely that was a joke. :)

So I said that I was watching those stops on my Smartreloader press? Well, one of them just broke off.
