I saw this gun last week at the local dealer when I looking around. I picked up that 57 I posted about from another dealer instead.

Anyway last night I went back and bought the 10. It's a -7 with the original grips but no box. I wish these people would keep the dam boxes!:banghead: It's been carried but it doesn't look like it's been shot much. Nice tight lockup. $230 OTD and since I have a 65 3" for carry it'll spend most of its time in the safe.

Good price on a revolver that is starting to get rare. Beats the heck out of me why people do not save the boxes.

I always do. It's just that I misplace them, not to be found until the month AFTER I sell the firearm in question... :)

Sigh

Ala Dan, I'm trying to concentrate strictly on N frames but I seem to get waylaid by the siren songs of nickle plate.:p This is the same dealer who has the nickled Model 36 with the box. Luckily (for me) he's decided to keep it for his own collection.

Well, I can understand one who collects S&W N-frames,
but I'm not to overly appreciative of nickel revolvers!:uhoh:
Maybe a S&W nickel 36 would be OK; but my preference
lies with blue steel or stainless (old model 60). OTOH, a
factory nickel 39-2 9m/m auto-loader really excites me!

Best Wishes,

I don't think I've ever seen a nickled 39 or a 59 for that matter. Many moons ago I did have a 39 but sold it.

I like blued guns but oh those "painted" ladies!
