Is there any good beginners guide/faq to blackpowder hunting???

This site has a lot of really good writing on blackpowder hunting, from technical info to hunting stories.

It might not be exactly what you are looking for if you want a step by step "Dummies Guide to BP Hunting", but it has good info and entertaining reads.

If you're near Dulles Airport in VA on Saturday, stop by the Sully Historic Site, and look for the historic demonstrators. If not, then on the 11th and 12th, Gunston Hall near Mount Vernon, VA will be hosting historic demonstrators. We should be able to help you out, answer your questions, etc.

It's a one day event, but the event at Gunston Hall is a two day event. It's just down the street from Mt. Vernon.

Any edition of "The Complete Black Powder Handbook" by Sam Fadala. It's up to about the 6th Edition now, but the older ones are less expensive.
