My apologies for neglecting the forums for a bit. The computer hobby reasserted itself temporarily.

Anyhow, good 'ol SOG's mailer shows up today with 639.00 C&R Lugers. Anybody know if these are worth it?

I've always wanted one of those things but the cult following makes it intimidating for a newcomer (me) - "real" 1911's, Garands and Lugers all have one thing in common: I don't own one of any of them and have been nervous to stick a toe in the water - kinda like trying to get educated on Garands or Singer 1911's overnight. I've dealt with AIM and SOG with good results although AIM has scored more in my personal experience.

FGS looks to be the expert in lugers - in fact, way too expert for me to figure out what's up. So, should I grab one (or two) of these SOG things or not? Intent is to shoot the things, safe queens need not apply. A "shooter only" might find its way to Ted's strawing service. How would I know if I shouldn't mess with one?

Thanks in advance.

9mms that are some of the last batch that came out of Russia.
Rebuilt and reblued in Russia.
Good to very good bores, mismatched internals and sideplates but not on all the guns.
One magazine, mismatched to the gun.
Most have replaced grips but not all.
When these run out demand usually kicks up the value a bit and these tend to be pretty decent shooters. HTH

Punch in "luger" on Auction arms .com nd Gun Broker and then decide. Yes they are cool and fun to shoot. The price will never go down! :)
