Just got back from a local podunk gun show - ol' boy had 6 or 8 AR15s, used, mostly Colts, each marked "Pre-ban", each priced $1,295 to $1,595. So run, don't walk to get yourself one of those, just like ones you can get *new* for just over half those prices. Yippee! :scrutiny: Needless to say, I didn't seriously consider buying ANY of the guns that ol' boy had.

I remember one gun show that I attended where a guy had a frankenstein of an AR for $1900 dollars. And none of the parts were name brand stuff exactly. The quote of the day was, "You're not gonna find a deal like this anywhere else!"

Your damn right I'm not gonna find a deal like that anywhere else, I surely hope not.

I believe I experienced a new low in gun shows today. I saw someone selling popsicle sticks glued together to make panels about 4 inches square with various college insignia on them. The beanie baby display was the second largest in the show.

Fortunately, at the gun shows here at the COW Palace right outside of San Francisco, we have some good FFLs selling guns at reasonable prices (as well as doing inexpensive transfers from the non-FFL sellers...stupid California laws).

Of course, then you see the mall-ninja FAB-10 ARs...that are selling for twice the cost of comparable AR-15s with detachable magazines in other states. Truly sad. :fire:

The biggest booth here is the Miwall Ammunition booth, and they sell stuff at quite good prices.

Yah, I hit the Cow Palace shows just for Miwall. I'll drop 2-4 hundred for ammo and whatever I have left over goes to guns and assesories.

Its funny how some vendors still think their preban firearms and accessories command a premium price. One guy that shows up at the gun shows in my area is still trying to get $ 40.00- 50.00 for 15 round Glock magazines.

Yeah, I've seen some unbelievably high prices for junk at gun shows, too, but to be fair, some of my best deals were at gun shows, too.
