I finally got my Cougar in .45ACP ! It is a Stoeger Cougar in .45ACP . Just the same as the Beretta Cougars in the 90's but half the price and the .45's have a rail this time !
This is got to be the best bang-for-the-buck in brand new firearms ! It's weird that most people dont mention them . I know they may be bulky but they are extremely reliable and accurate ! I have one I got new 3 yrs ago in 9mm .

The only reason I don't own one is grip area is too thick for my hand. It's a pity but most guys are incapable of getting past made in Turkey? or the Stoeger name. Remember polymer frame beauty from Croatia ca 1990 for about $250? How does firearm nobody wanted become $500+ object and gun of the year several years later?

I agree that they're excellent guns for the money. I have no problem with Turkey or anywhere else if the gun is made well. In my opinion the fit and finish is on a par with the CZ pistols that I've owned.
Here is my 9mm Cougar with Beretta grips.

wbwanzer , I agree fully ! It is just the same as my CZ75 ! I dont care where its made as long as it's made good .

PabloJ , I rememebr that ! When the XD/HS2000 was $250 at the gun show . WOW I should have bought one , but was a little afraid to take the chance because they were so new ! . But I am a witness to how these Stoegers shoot and function . They are great .
