I got a nice SP101 the other day, shot it today, and now I want an ankle holster for it. I am going to be doing a lot of driving from Tennessee to Pennsylvania if all goes well at my next job interview, and I want something that will be easy to access while driving. I've heard it takes some getting used to to carry with an ankle holster, but I'm sure I can put up with it. Also the SP101 is like having a brick in my front pocket and I'll have my 4" model 65 IWB. Anyone here use an ankle rig with one of these beastly snubbies?

5+ years at 8+ hours per day with my sp101 on an ankle rig. After spending A LOT of money on various ankle rigs in the 30-50 dollar class with no success I found it, the ONE. The one that works, period. It is a Lou Allessi rig. I've never looked back.

Cheap? Nope, cost me 120 bucks.

Worth it? Every penny and then some!!!

Edit: tried the one you're looking at. You'll be retightening it after a couple hours if you are moving around a lot. And even then I didn't feel that the nylon gave enough support.

Thanks Ben, that is exactly what I am looking for.

One thing, the reason I was thinking of the bianchi rig is I intend to wear the holster over my boots. Did you wear your bianchi holster over boots or just against your skin? And would the Alessi rig work over boots or just against skin/socks? I really appreciate the advice.....

That's the one drawback. Lowtop shoes only. I wear mine over my sock. The way it's designed, it settles down on top of a standard tennis or dress shoe perfectly.

When I'm not wearing regular shoes, I run the sp101 in a belt rig.

That gun in a rig that's designed to fit over boots will require almost bell bottoms to conceal effectively.
