I just purchased a box of Speer 44 Mag bullets, 240 gr Plinker JSP marked #4454. There is no data in my Speer Manual and after several attempts at getting reloading data from the company, still no answer. Is there any reason I couldn't use the data in the book from the other 240gr JSP Speer bullets? I'm specifically looking for Unique, H110, or Bullseye data.

I am not familar with this bullet nor did I find any information in my current Speer Manual either, Being a long time loader of 44 Magnum rounds I can't see why you can't use the same loading information in the Speer book for the other 240 gr bullets. However I would begin loading at the starting load and work up. Watch your grouping and any odd holes in your target or bullets key holing. Odd holes would indicate the bullet breaking up by being pushed too fast.

No, you should be fine. Speer uses similar load recipes for most of their bullets within the same weight designation. All of my 240 gr .44 loads are similar regardless of bullet make. As with any new load, start low and work up. Since they are designed for plinking, I would tend to run them at the lower end of the spectrum, thus using Unique and not H110/W296.
