you travel 4 hours to get there, what is the longest distance that any of the other competitors have to travel?

We've had guys come down from Wyoming, and over from Kansas.

Most of us drive down Saturday morning, get there around noon, then set up the targets. Open sight in, dope verification, and/or practice is technically from 3-5pm Saturday on targets from 2 - 700 yards, but that can start earlier if setup finishes more quickly.

We stay at a cheap motel in Raton and get an early start Sunday morning. There is another opportunity for sight-in Sunday morning, but only about 30 minutes.

The match is generally finished 1-2pm. There is a cash payout to the winners.

The first match of 2006 is Feb 5th.

The March 2006 match is history. Weather was great (65F), winds were tricky as usual but generally less than 10mph. The winner had 48 hits out of 60 possible, with the median score in the high 20's.

Looks good, I wish we had terrain like that in Houston Texas. But we are atleast getting a precision private range together soon.

hey zak, you guys do that year round?
after perry, that may be worth a trip from TN. it looks like a blast. i've been thinking about trying to pull a week of vacation down there or something. could time it with a monthly match.
