My brother has a full-size Springfield 1911, and today told me that he wants to send out his pistol to a major player (Wilson Combat) for repair...As I inquired as to what was wrong, he informed me that on the last several consecutive occasions while at his local range, no matter how well he has cleaned the gun,
it starts to stovepipe on him before he gets a box run through it...Two questions...1)Suggestions/solutions...(legitimate, not just "trade it")
2) Local reputable gunsmiths in his area... He is about 30 miles NW of Pittsburg, Pa...near Beaver Falls...Willing to go over the line into Ohio, maybe as far as Youngstown...thanks for the help...I'm to far south to get him to any of my guys here...Thanks in advance...
