Have an opportunity to pick up one at a pawn shop apparently unused, in the original box with all normal new accessories, for $375. Factory target is a two-inch group...forget at what range. Would appreciate your experience as to reliability, accuracy.

Hey TooTaxed,

I bought the original HS2000 when they first came out, it has been such a good gun I recently bought the XD-40. All I can tell you is that it has never malfunctioned and is pretty darned accurate to boot. I don't believe you could go wrong at that price.

I have had opportunity to shoot both the XD 9 & XD 357 sig (I'm assuming you mean the XD not HD) and like them both. From what I've seen of the rental XD's at the range I go to, they will take ALOT of abuse. At $375, I'd buy it

Sorry' bout that, I do mean the XD! (It's terrible when one gets old and dingy.)

Thanks for the info! Guess I'll make another visit to that pawn shop.:D

Buy the gun. I had an XD40 and its a great gun. Its very reliable, and recoil is very managable. Accuracy at 10-15 yards your under a 2 inch group easy. The trigger gets better with use. Great Gun. Buy Buy Buy

That's about $100 less then I paid for my NIB XD .357. So yea that's a good deal. The only scary part is that it's from a pawn shop. I've yet to see a good deal on anything at a pawn shop unless something just wasn't quite what it seemed. All I can say is check it real good including a field strip.

I liked the features of the HD. Clever engineering and some of the best features of "the other guy's" gun were incorporated into it. So, I test fired it and apart from the sight being offset on the test gun, I liked it. Go ahead, buy it.
