Buddy of mine for work is hard up for cash and wants to sell me his. I've never heard of or seen one of these. gun feels good, despite the polymer frame. havent had time for a test drive yet. theres a bit of pitting on it, i'd rate the gun at 95% overal, maybe a fuzz higher.

anybody have one of these? like it/ hate it?? whats a fair price to offer? i figured a c note would be fair...

$100 is low. $175-$225 would be great. I believe $250 would be about market. But, what the hell do I know?

Should be a great gun. Almost all Stars have a good rep. The Ultrastar was a great start for them in the polymer market. Then Spain capsized; Astra and Star fell overboard and drowned; Llama held onto a life preserver for awhile.

I have a 9mm Ultrastar. It's been 100% reliable so far.

I agree, $100 is a little low. $150 and up is more of what "fair" means to me. I almost bought a new SS one online for less than $175 once but I didn't know enough about them. I passed on it and never saw another for that price.

Just a word of warning, mags are hard to come by and can be expensive. I think they cost about $45 the last time I saw them for sale.

It'd probably take $100 price to get me to buy one. Like has been said, spare mags and replcement parts are going to be a crap shoot.

OTOH if you are in a charitable mood and he's too proud, offer $250-300.

well, thanks for the input from y'all.

I took it out yesterday and put a couple boxes through it. shoots pretty nice, but the takedown pin somehow wobbles loose after a few mags, to the point i figure if i left it alone, it would pry fall out.

Think i'm gona pass on this anyway, but i'll let him know what its going value is. thanks again.
