I bought this rifle more than 20yrs ago for nearly nothing and I have always wondered when it was made. It looks like it is from the 60's, but I imagine that it would be more like the late 70's...I don't know. It is a cheap gun with very deep and lustrous blueing on the barrel with a matte finish on the action and a glass smooth bolt, despite being mounted on a pressed weave checkered 2x4...and it is a sweet shooter. It is one of my favorite rifles even though I have seldom hunted with it and it is one that I would not consider selling, for some inexplicable reason.

Anyway, thanks for your help.

Your user name is interesting. Do you hail from Arizona?

Beautiful rifle.

I think I answered my question with a single google search. It appears to be a late 70's or early 80's vintage. Regardless of the age, the fit and finish of the metal on this gun rivals any that I have...and for some reason that point has always baffled me.
