 STRANGE LITTLE BOLT action w/2 Triggers
Hey everyone,
As I posted on another discussion:
I came across a strange little bolt single with 2 triggers the back one is like a set which makes the front a very hair trigger.when the front is used soley it works normally, there is no safety what so ever.
The gun itself is a very light (almost toyish)stock...The only markings on the barrel say 9m/m(Though a 9mm Luger is too big for the chamber as well .380) Rimfire?? and Flocore ? and a couple of symbols ?????????
A .32 Bore sight rod fits snugly in the muzzle..
The over all legnth is 41.5" ... and the barrel is 24"

Any info on this strange little firearm would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Dirk

those are the the closest things I can find. Does yours have rifling? put up some pictures or something, this sounds really neat.

Sounds like what's known as a "parlor rifle". Caliber is 9mm Flobert, one of the very earliest metallic cartridges, which was made in both a shot cartridge for pest control in "garden guns" and a ball version for indoor target shooting in guns like what you describe.

9m/m Flobert

Thank you for the words Flobert you are absoltely right! My naked eyes aren't very good and a cheap pair of reading glasses aren't much better...
I had never heard of a Flobert before but hanks to the good people at THR we are starting to zero in on this mystery
Any more input on this 9m/m Flobert "Parlor Gun" would be much appreciated.
???? WHO ??? WHAT ???? WHERE ????? wHEN ??????????? $$$$$$

The Flobert cartridge was developed in 1845, its design being based essentially on a round lead ball inserted into a percussion cap. The cases of the earliest examples were tapered at the head to hold them in place for firing. The Flobert cartridge provided the inspiration for Daniel Wesson when he developed his No. 1 pistol cartridge in 1858, referred to eventually by its more recognizable name, the .22 short rimfire.Wesson added the distinct rim which became the accepted norm for all metallic cartridges that followed.
