Suggestions for a SHTF rifle for a nonshooter

i'm gonna agree with those that suggested the saiga chambered in .223.

Thats a dang fine idea, I had completely forgot about the SAIGA. I have one in .223 and its a very reliable weapon with little recoil.

Super option...Gun $250, Optics $120 - Total $370 for a darn effective weapon

If she's sensitive to recoil...

...I would avoid anything that shoots depleted uranium.
